Xtra Math!

Have you heard your child talk about Xtra Math at home? Xtramath.org is a FREE online math facts practice site that we have begun to use at school this week. The best part is that you can utilize this site from home too! Your child should have brought home a flyer on Monday with information regarding this site and their unique password to access the site. The site itself is a non-profit organization and is ad-free. Click on the link above if you'd like to get more information. I hope that you'll find time to give it a try.

If you try it out, let me know what you think. I used it with my son last year and was very impressed with how simple the program was to use, the growth that he made, and even more so, the ability as a parent to be able to track his progress on the site.  In fact, he is using it again this year as a 2nd grader as well. This program can also be set up for other children in your family as well. Under the parent area you can change the fact practice to addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division as well.
