Indoor recess fun

Ugh!!  This cold weather is driving us crazy! Indoor recess is always fun but after being cooped up for a couple of days it can grow old quickly. From the looks of the forecast, we'll be indoors for awhile yet so we are making the best of it.

Today, the kids from Mrs. Birr and Mrs. Skinkis' classes joined us for recess. We used the free app called, The Electric Company Party Game: Lost on Prankster Planet.  This is a great multi-player app that has students complete physical challenges, wacky challenges, counting races, and math questions. Kiddos have to draw, discuss, think, act, and problem solve to make their way through the digital game board. Here's an example of one of the wacky challenges.













Here are a few pics of the kiddos using the game with their groups. The room was totally engaged but was quite noisy with all of the laughter and acting going on.
