Mmmmmm Math

On Monday we reviewed fact families in a tasty way. Each of us chose a domino and then recreated our domino on a graham cracker with marshmallows. Kiddos then had to find out how many "dots" for their "part, part, total". After completing that, they wrote the fact family addition and subtraction problems to go with their numbers. We also did some problem solving and had to determine if our total was odd or even and then draw or write a description that would help our kindergarten friends understand why it was odd or even. In the end, we ate our creations, but of course we had to add just a bit more frosting before we dug in.
