Today in math we learned a new game called the Penny Dice Game. Kiddos practiced their partnership skills while rolling a die and counting the number of pennies rolled.
Ask your child about "Shake, rattle and roll"

We have been learning a lot in Spanish and really look forward to Seniorita Olson's visits. Your child should have brought home a booklet tonight with Buenos Dias (Good morning), Buenos Tardes (Good afternoon), and Buenos Noches (Good night).

We started talking about the next of our Daily 5 stations, Listen to Reading. When children choose this area, they will get to listen to books on tape and CD and eventually on the iPod Touches as well. We will be learning how to use this area independently over the next few days.

Last, we began coloring our calendar this week to correlate with our clip chart. There is information about our clip chart in your child's DOG. Please take time each evening to take a quick peek at your child's color and ask them about their day. If you child ends the day on orange or red, I will send a note or give you a phone call to touch base.

A few reminders:
  1. Glenbrook Spirit wear money is due on Wednesday.
  2. Please remember to send your child's math money sometime this week
    • 20 pennies
    • 6 nickels
    • 10 dimes
    • 4 quarters
As always, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, PLEASE don't hesitate to contact me!
