3D shapes and more!

Over the past few days we have been learning about 3D shapes. On Monday, the kiddos went out in groups of three to find real life examples of spheres, cones, rectangular prisms, cylinders, pyramids, and cubes using the cameras on the iPads. Yesterday we learned how to use the super cool, free app called Pic Collage. Groups worked together to import their pictures and label their shapes. It was amazing to watch how quickly everyone picked up on how to maneuver around the app. In fact, I think it took longer for me to give them the basics than it did for them to actually create their collages. First graders never cease to amaze me.

We hope that you enjoy our creations and that if you have time, you'll leave us a comment or some feedback on our work. We love knowing that others have checked in to see what we've been learning!
