Reindeer Research

Last week as part of our LEAP time, students learned about wild reindeer. We read several books about reindeer and also created a KWL chart (What we KNOW, What we WANT to know, and What we LEARNED). Based on our information, we then wrote simple paragraphs highlighting some of the information that we learned. For example, did you know that reindeer eat moss, flowers, mushrooms, and grass? Did you also know that there is a special substance in moss that helps to keep reindeer warm? Ask your child how big a reindeers antlers can get and if the males or females have antlers.
Below are just a few samples of our writing. Feel free to stop down after the Holiday Concert to view the rest on the wall.
