Can you find a toque?

Check out all our our cool toques! If you're like us, you probably don't know what a toque is. I bet it seems odd though that we have our hats on in this picture. Ask your child what a toque is.

We found out by asking our "friends" in Canada. We have been connecting with several classes around the world via Twitter. You can check out our Twitter page on the side bar to the right. We are connecting with classes in Saskatchewan, Canada, New Jersey, lower Michigan (Boyne City), Italy and Australia. Quite the global conglomeration of "friends"! We will even be doing a video chat with the class in Australia sometime in Februrary- they are on summer break right now.  We learned that if it is Tuesday here, it is Wednesday in Australia. The class we connect with is 17 hours ahead of us. We also learned that if it's daytime here, it's nightime there and that our seasons are opposite.
